It is true that the best time to make love is during ovulation. Especially if you want to conceive a child with the gender of your choice. But what exactly is ovulation? And why is it important in conceiving the gender of your choice?
Ovulation is a phase in a woman’s menstrual cycle. Specifically, ovulation is the release of a mature egg from the ovarian follicle. The egg being released is capable of fertilized thus resulting to pregnancy. So basically, your chances of getting pregnant are the highest during ovulation.
Now, sperm contains the X and Y chromosomes, as such, Y chromosome is the male sperm and Y is the female sperm. Female sperm last longer than male sperm so if you want to conceive a baby girl, having intercourse a few days before the day of a woman’s ovulation is recommended because the male sperm will die off leaving the egg to the female sperm. However, you are more likely to conceive a boy if you have intercourse on the day of ovulation as male sperm are thought to be fast swimmers and they reach the egg first.
